Interior & Exterior Renovation
For years, patients of Acadian Care had to drive to the Northshore to receive treatment. Then the professionals of Acadian Care, L.L.C. decided to better serve their clients by opening a new location in New Orleans on the corner of Baronne Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. This centrally located spot gave many current and new patients easier access to care.
The building started as an empty shell with only four walls and no floor. The surrounding property was an empty yard. Southern Construction completed an entire interior renovation by building a floor with spray foam insulation, several patient exam rooms, doctor’s office, full kitchen, IT room, waiting room and reception area. In addition, historic architectural details were utilized in the hallway by exposing brick chimneys original to the structure. The exterior renovation portion converted the empty yard into a patient parking lot with ample exterior lighting, an ADA compliant handicap ramp, a wooden privacy fence and an automated iron gate.
